Hello

My name is Heather and I'm a fourth-year student at Vancouver Island University, Nanaimo, majoring in Liberal Studies. I'm predominantly interested in political philosophy and social contract theory, bridging the gap between past and present arguments within these disciplines, and designing original principles and theories that may guide the global political atmosphere in a safer and more inclusive direction. I'm also a mother of two wonderful children and work part-time in the beautiful and flourishing community of Parksville, British Columbia, which is located on the traditional territory of the Coast Salish Nations, home to the Snaw-Naw-As First Nations and the Qualicum First Nations. I'm passionate about writing, motivated by love, empowered by learning, and guided by my instincts. If you don't see me, I'm hiding, if you don't hear me, I'm philosophizing*, and if you don't like me, I don't care.

*philosophizing    Thinking deeply about meaningful topics "especially in a tedious or pompous way".
